How I got here

When my last employer broke the news to me that I was being made redundant I was devastated! I loved my role as an employed Virtual Assistant & Operations Manager. But the change was meant to be.

The Directors of that business were the ones that talked me into setting up on my own (one of the directors is now one of my clients) and I have NEVER looked back!

Working as a PA for over 20 years (showing my age now!) gave me a huge range of experience - I worked for some of the UK’s largest organisations - I gained a massive amount of knowledge during that time. And I loved the variety! But since setting up my own business as a VA, I can honestly say that I have learned so much more!

I’ve had to think on my feet constantly, learning new systems, adjusting to clients’ ways of working and also 'coaching' them to delegate more to me. I am a bit of a control freak, I'll admit that, so I get why clients struggle to delegate at the start but, I’ve always managed to work my magic, identifying opportunities to help my clients and encourage them to hand more and more over to me, allowing them to concentrate fully on smashing their business goals.

I LOVE what I do, it doesn't feel like work! I am so very passionate about my business and I get no greater satisfaction than helping my clients to succeed in theirs. I offer suggestions to help them streamline their processes and introduce them to new platforms that can really benefit their business. I am constantly keeping myself up to date with new systems on the market to help keep my clients’ business and my own ahead of the game!

My why

Being a Virtual Assistant gives me the freedom I wanted, so I can spend time with my family. I don’t waste time on the daily commute to work anymore or spend hours in pointless meetings (just put it in a sodding email!). I get to take my daughter away for weekend breaks and go out for nice meals with my partner. I’ve no longer got that Sunday night fear!

I am so very proud of what I have achieved to date in my business. I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs get organised, develop their client management systems and given them their time back! And in doing so I’ve created a sustainable business that gives me the life I’ve always wanted - creativity and organising galore (*this is my dream job*) while being a powerful role model for Nicole.

I’m fun, friendly and professional with a hard-working attitude. My business is based on reliability and getting things done.

I thrive on learning and love working with exciting brands and forward thinking entrepreneurs who are changing the world, one step at a time.
